This finding looks at the relationship between parental involvement in elementary school and students' educational attainment in high school.

Students whose teachers reported higher levels of parental involvement were more likely to graduate high-school, to complete high-school (via graduation or GED) than peers whose parents were not so involved, and they were more likely to have completed a higher grade in high school. The more years a parent was involved, the greater was this association with grade completion.
