This finding looks at the relationship between adolescents' perception of their mother and the frequency of parent/child communication.

The higher adolescents' perception was of their mother's expertise and trustworthiness, the more frequently they talked with their mother about the social and moral consequences of being sexually active.


Sample or Data Description
668 mother-adolescent dyads who were recruited from Grades 6,7, and 8 from six middle schools in the South Bronx in New York city
