This finding looks at the relationship between religiosity and charitable giving.

Frequency of church attendance was related to charitable giving. Individuals who reported having a high frequency of church attendance were more likely to give money to organizations that help the poor and needy compared to individuals who reported having a low frequency of church attendance.


Sample or Data Description
Data come from the 1996 Religious Identity and Influence Study, which is a cross-national survey. The final sample contained 2,591 respondents.
