This finding looks at the relationship between parents' and youths' religiosity and adolescents' behavior.

Both parents' and children's religiosity was associated with a decrease in the likelihood that adolescents would drink, smoke, or engage in serious delinquent behavior, such as property damage and theft.

National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, nationally representative study of adolescents in grades 7-12; working sample size was 11,890.
