This study examines the relationship of depressive symptoms and obesity among low-income mothers with their preschool children's TV-viewing time.

Among low-income pre-school children, those whose mothers had either depressive symptoms or obesity were more likely to watch 3 or more hours of TV per day.


Sample or Data Description
295 low-income mothers of 3-and 4-year old children enrolled in the Vermont Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). [Eligibility for WIC is a family income at or below 185% of the federal poverty line.]
